Product Overview

Magnetic RCCB without integral overcurrent protection, covering 16A to 100A in single-phase and three-phase configurations. Magnetic operation provides fail-safe residual current tripping without an auxiliary power supply — the device remains protective during power interruptions, unlike electronic RCCBs.

This is an AC Type device detecting sinusoidal AC leakage current. Pair with MCBs or MCCBs downstream for overcurrent protection. For circuits with power electronics, specify Type A or Type B to detect pulsating or smooth DC leakage.

100A RCBO is the practical upper limit of combined RCD and MCB construction; above this current level, a separate RCD with a series MCCB is typically required. Confirm short-circuit breaking capacity against local prospective fault current before specifying a combined device at this current rating.

Applications

Inverter output protection

AC distribution boards

EV and PV support circuits

Residential and commercial electrical BOS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between RCCB and RCBO?

RCCB provides residual current protection only — no overload or short-circuit protection. RCBO combines both in one device. RCCBs are used as a main protection device upstream of individual MCBs, where the residual current function is centralized and overcurrent is handled per circuit.

Does EKL6-100 detect DC leakage?

EKL6-100 is AC Type — it detects sinusoidal AC residual current only. For circuits with power electronics, EV chargers, or solar inverters, specify EKL6-100B (Type B) which detects AC, pulsating DC, and smooth DC leakage.
