Product Overview
High-variant-count AC MCB family with 56 SKU options covering 1A through 63A in 1P, 2P, 3P, and 4P configurations for both 240V single-phase and 415V three-phase AC circuits. This single family handles inverter AC output protection, distribution board feeders, and auxiliary AC circuits without switching to a different product.
B and C tripping characteristics are available — B for resistive loads and sensitive circuits, C for inverter AC outputs and motor feeds where higher inrush current is expected. Specify the required tripping characteristic and pole count at RFQ.
AC-rated MCBs protect the output wiring between inverter and main switchboard against overcurrent and short-circuit faults on the AC side. The ETM1-63 tripping characteristic must be coordinated with the upstream distribution board MCCB — confirm the time-current discrimination margin with your electrical engineer to prevent nuisance trips.

How do I choose between B and C tripping characteristic?
B characteristic trips at 3-5× In and is suited to resistive loads and lighting circuits. C characteristic trips at 5-10× In and is more common for inverter AC outputs, motor feeds, and transformer primaries where inrush current is higher. Specify the load type at RFQ.
Is ETM1-63 certified for solar inverter AC output protection?
ETM1-63 is used widely for this application. Confirm the inverter maximum AC output current is within the selected breaker rated current, and that the breaking capacity exceeds the AC fault current at the distribution board busbar.
