Eighteen variants covering 6A to 63A in both single-phase (1P+N) and three-phase (3P+N) configurations make this the most comprehensive Type B RCBO in the range. Three-phase Type B RCBOs are relevant in commercial and industrial installations with three-phase VFD, power electronics, or three-phase EV charging equipment.
Type B sensitivity to smooth DC leakage closes the protection gap that standard Type AC and Type A devices leave open when protecting circuits served by transformerless power conversion equipment.
63A Type B RCBO sizing covers single-phase string inverters in the 10–15kW range. Type B detection is required where the inverter topology can produce a smooth DC fault component — check the inverter installation manual for the RCD type specification, as the wrong type will not detect all fault modes.

When do I need a 3P+N Type B RCBO?
Three-phase Type B is needed for three-phase loads generating DC leakage — three-phase EV chargers, variable-frequency drives, three-phase transformerless inverters. Single-phase Type B covers single-phase power electronics loads. Specify the load type and we recommend the correct pole configuration.
Is Type B RCBO required in all markets for EV charging?
The EU requires Type B or equivalent protection for EV charging outlets (EN 61851 and related standards). Requirements vary by country and installation type — a Type B device is accepted everywhere that Type A is required, so it is the safe default choice.
