Product Overview
Eight-string 1000V DC combiner for medium commercial and small utility-scale installations where 8 strings aggregate before connecting to one inverter MPPT input. At 8 × 12A Isc, the combined output reaches approximately 96A — size the output cable and protection for this current.
8-string combiners balance field wiring efficiency with reasonable enclosure size, making them a practical choice for commercial flat-roof and carport installations where layout and conduit routing constrain the number of strings per combiner.
Eight-string BFS combiners are used at the transition between distributed string combiner and centralised array combiner designs. The busbar fuse string format increases bus bar current capacity to handle eight parallel strings — verify output bus bar cross-section against the combined Isc of all eight strings plus the required over-current margin.

What output protection rating is required for 8 strings at 12A Isc?
8 × 12A = 96A combined output. Select a DC MCCB or fused isolator rated at 100A or higher for the combiner output. Include the output protection in the RFQ to receive a complete protection package.
Can SPD be added to the 8-string combiner?
Yes — DC SPD can be included inside the combiner enclosure at the input or output bus. Specify the required SPD type and discharge current at RFQ. For 1000V systems, EKU5-T2-20PV or EKU5-T2-40PV are compatible options.
