Product Overview
Two-string combiner with two separate outputs for installations where each string must remain independently routed after the combiner — such as dual-MPPT inverters where strings connect to separate MPPT inputs but share weatherproof housing and fusing at the array.
2-in/2-out format provides the same per-string fuse protection and weatherproof enclosure as a standard combiner without aggregating the string currents — each string exits the combiner independently for connection to its own inverter input.
The dual-output 2-string 1000V combiner allows each inverter MPPT input to connect to a separately fused 2-string sub-array, enabling individual MPPT optimisation for arrays with partial shading or mixed roof orientations — confirm the number of independent MPPT inputs on your inverter before specifying this configuration.
Applications
PV string combining
DC array protection
C&I rooftop solar
Utility-scale field combiner circuits
Frequently Asked Questions
When do I use 2-in/2-out instead of 2-in/1-out combiner?
Use 2-in/2-out when each string must connect to a separate MPPT input on a dual-MPPT inverter, or when string monitoring requires independent current measurement on each string output. The combiner provides weatherproof fusing without combining the string currents.
Does the 2-out configuration require a larger enclosure?
The 2-out configuration requires separate output terminals and glands for each string cable — this typically requires a larger enclosure than the 1-out version. Confirm the enclosure dimensions and cable gland positions against the installation drawing.
