Product Overview
Two-string 1000V combiner with one output for small commercial rooftop installations, residential multi-string systems, and installations where two strings share a conduit run to the inverter. Per-string fuse protection and an IP-rated enclosure provide fault isolation and weatherproof installation.
At 2 strings × 12A Isc, the combined output is approximately 24A — suitable for most residential inverter MPPT input cable ratings without upgrading the home run conductor.
The 2-string 1000V variant is one of the most common combiner sizes for residential and small commercial string inverter installations. Two fused string inputs connect to a single output bus bar, halving the cable run count from array to inverter — specify input fuse rating alongside the combiner box in your BOM.
Applications
PV string combining
DC array protection
C&I rooftop solar
Utility-scale field combiner circuits
Frequently Asked Questions
When does a 2-string combiner make sense over running separate string cables?
A combiner makes sense when two string cables can be consolidated into one conduit or home run to the inverter, when string-level fuse protection is required at the array, or when an isolated string disconnect point is needed near the roof before the cable enters the building.
What fuse current rating is included?
Fuse link current rating is selected based on string Isc. Share the module Isc at RFQ and we confirm the appropriate fuse link rating — typically no more than 1.25× Isc for proper short-circuit protection.
