Product Overview
Twelve variant SKUs across 750V, 1000V, 1200V, and 1500V DC in 2, 3, and 4-pole formats make EKM7DC one of the most comprehensive DC MCCB families for covering multiple string voltage levels from a single catalog entry. Distributors serving both 1000V and 1500V markets can hold fewer SKUs.
Multi-voltage coverage in one frame also simplifies spare parts holding for large projects with mixed voltage architectures — one MCCB model covers the full voltage range from 750V legacy installations to 1500V modern designs.
The EKM7DC includes an integral auxiliary contact that can signal breaker trip status to a remote monitoring system. This allows installers to detect nuisance trips without a site visit — particularly useful for commercial rooftop projects where array access requires a scheduled maintenance window.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why would a project need 1200V DC MCCB?
1200V DC falls between the 1000V and 1500V standard voltage classes. Some projects use string voltages in the 1100-1200V range based on module count and temperature derating. All protection devices must be rated at or above the maximum string Voc — a 1200V rated device covers this range where a 1000V device does not.
What current ratings are available?
Current ratings vary by voltage class — share the required rated current, system voltage, and pole count at RFQ and we identify the correct variant from the 12 available in this family.
