Replacement 10×38mm gPV cylindrical fuse links rated at 1000V DC in current ratings from 8A to 32A. Fast-acting gPV class clears PV string short-circuit faults quickly, protecting both the module wiring and adjacent healthy strings from sustained fault current.
Stocking the correct fuse link current rating avoids delays during commissioning and after fault events. A blown fuse is often the first indication of a wiring fault or module ground fault — keep the correct replacement fuse link in the site maintenance kit.
Finger-safe fuse holders with DIN-rail or surface-mount options allow string fuse replacement without disconnecting combiner bus bars. Confirm fuse holder contact rating matches the string fuse current — oversized contact clips on mismatched holders can create intermittent contact resistance that generates heat at the fuse ends.

How do I select the correct fuse current rating?
The fuse link rating should not exceed 1.25× the string Isc. For a string with 12A Isc: 12 × 1.25 = 15A maximum fuse rating. The existing combiner box drawing or the fuse holder label will also indicate the correct rating.
Are standard industrial 10×38mm fuses compatible?
No. gPV fuse links have specific DC arc extinction characteristics not present in standard AC industrial or general-purpose fuse links of the same physical size. Always use gPV-marked fuse links in PV combiner boxes.
