Product Overview
Auxiliary DC power supply rated for 1500V PV environments, providing low-voltage DC auxiliary power for monitoring equipment, communication devices, and control electronics inside combiner boxes and DC switchboards. A dedicated auxiliary supply prevents monitoring systems from losing power during partial shading or low-generation periods.
The 1500V input rating makes this unit compatible with direct connection to the PV bus inside high-voltage combiner boxes without a separate step-down converter. Confirm the output voltage and current requirements against the monitoring and control devices to be powered.
The PWR-DC1500 converts PV bus voltage (up to 1500V DC) to a regulated low-voltage DC supply for combiner box monitoring electronics, communication modules, and alarm outputs. Using the PV bus as the power source eliminates the auxiliary AC supply cable that would otherwise be required at each remote combiner location — reducing the number of cable types in the BOM.
Applications
PV string monitoring
Auxiliary power in solar BOS
Combiner and inverter support circuits

Frequently Asked Questions
What output voltage and current does PWR-DC1500 provide?
Confirm the output specifications from the product datasheet — auxiliary power supplies for PV applications typically output 12V or 24V DC at currents from 0.5A to 2A depending on the connected load. Share the monitoring device power requirements at RFQ.
Can this supply power string monitoring units inside a combiner box?
Yes — string monitoring units, communication gateways, and data loggers inside combiner boxes are typical loads for this auxiliary supply. Confirm the combined power draw of all connected devices is within the rated output capacity.
