Product Overview
PV1-F is the legacy designation still referenced in older project BOQs and replacement cable lists. Eight size options from 1.5mm² to 35mm² cover the same range as H1Z2Z2-K. This family is quoted alongside H1Z2Z2-K when the buyer has flexibility on standard wording.
The key difference between PV1-F and H1Z2Z2-K is the standard designation — construction and performance are similar for typical solar DC use. We check which wording the project spec or importer requires before quoting to avoid substitution disputes at the port.
PV1-F is the pre-IEC 62930 European designation that preceded the current H1Z2Z2-K standard; many legacy project specification sheets still reference PV1-F by name. The two designations are electrically equivalent in most respects — OmniSol can supply either and provide the test report confirming equivalence for tender compliance.

Can PV1-F and H1Z2Z2-K be mixed in the same project?
Electrically they perform the same function, but mixing standard wording in one project can create inspection or acceptance issues if the spec calls for a single standard. Confirm the project specification before mixing cable families — we recommend using one standard throughout.
Is PV1-F rated for 1500V DC?
Standard PV1-F is rated for 1000V DC per IEC 60228. For 1500V DC systems, specify H1Z2Z2-K or 62930 IEC131 which carry 1500V DC ratings. Share your system voltage at RFQ and we confirm the correct cable standard.
