How C-Steel Ground Mounting System is sourced
OmniSol sources C-Steel Ground Mounting System factory-direct as part of the Ground Mounting family, quoted against your project quantity, destination port and structure material (Q355B / ZM275 Coated Steel). Pricing and lead time are confirmed by SKU and order size at the RFQ stage, and OmniSol can propose a current-equivalent option if the exact variant is unavailable, so the line stays on schedule.
BOM fit
C-Steel Ground Mounting System is part of the structural BOM and is sized from the roof or ground layout and the wind and snow load. It consolidates with rails, clamps, fasteners and the rest of the project BOS into one freight-optimised container.
Certification check
Confirm the material certificate, coating thickness and structural standard (AS/NZS 1170, ASCE 7-22 or Eurocode) for the destination before ordering. OmniSol supplies material and surface-treatment reports at RFQ.
Product Overview
C-steel ground mount structures are the standard choice for utility-scale solar where aluminium cost and weight create budget and logistics constraints. OmniSol's Q355B C-section piles are rated for direct ramming or driven installation in soil profiles up to N-value 50, covering most ground-mount project sites without a concrete foundation. Hot-dip galvanising to an average 80μm coating weight per EN ISO 1461 provides 30-year corrosion protection under standard environmental classifications.
Pile spacing, embedment depth, and cross-member sizing are calculated from site-specific wind speed and soil bearing capacity parameters. OmniSol's engineering team can produce a preliminary structural design based on the project's wind pressure class, module dimensions, and fixed-tilt row-to-row spacing. Provide the site location, module size, and local design wind speed when sending an RFQ and a preliminary structural BOM is returned alongside the quote at no charge.
Ground screw foundation alternatives are available for sites where driven piles are prohibited by local regulation or rock strata prevents conventional installation. Confirm the preferred foundation method, inter-row spacing, and whether single-axis tracking or fixed-tilt is required before ordering — ground mount projects typically require a site-specific structural drawing package, which OmniSol provides as part of the supply arrangement.
