What a complete solar system with battery and inverter costs, size by size, based on the kits we quote to buyers. Prices are per kit, FOB China, before mounting, freight, duty and installation.
Solar kit prices by size
Published prices are for Premium Deye battery kits. The 30 kW grid-tie kit has no battery; other sizes and Value builds are priced on request.

What changes the price of a solar system

From kit price to installed cost
To budget a whole house solar power system, add these to the kit price. Each depends on your country. A CFR quote includes freight to the named port; a CIF quote also includes the stated insurance cover. Neither is a fully landed or installed price.

How much does a solar system for a home cost?
As a complete kit with battery and inverter, our 230 V systems cost USD 2,500–3,000 for 3.6 kW with 5 kWh of battery, USD 3,000–3,500 for 5 kW with 5 kWh, and USD 4,500–5,000 for 8 kW with 10 kWh, per kit, FOB Xiamen. Mounting, freight, import duty and installation are added on top and depend on the country.
How much does a 5 kW solar system with battery cost?
Our 5 kW kit with a 5.12 kWh LiFePO4 battery is USD 3,000–3,500 per kit, FOB Xiamen, for the Premium Deye build. The Value build with a MUST off-grid inverter costs less. The lower end of the range is for full-container orders.
How much does an off-grid solar system cost?
The same kits run off-grid, so the kit prices above apply. What pushes an off-grid system up is battery: to cover a long night or a cloudy day you need more kWh of storage, and battery is the most expensive part of the kit. A generator back-up usually costs less than doubling the battery.
Why is the price per watt lower on bigger kits?
Cables, protection, packing and handling cost about the same whatever the size, and a bigger inverter does not cost proportionally more. Spread over more watts of panels, the fixed part shrinks, so an 8 kW kit costs less per watt than a 3.6 kW kit.
Does the price include installation?
No. The FOB Xiamen kit price covers the equipment but not mounting, freight, insurance, import duty, taxes or installation. We can quote CFR with freight, or CIF with freight and the stated insurance cover, to your port on request. Destination charges and import costs remain separate.
Why are some sizes "price on request"?
We only publish a range once we have quoted that exact build to real buyers. Split-phase and three-phase kits use inverters whose price moves with stock, so we quote them on the day with your quantity and port.
