LR5-78HGD is LONGi Solar's Hi-MO 5 series — a 78-cell hybrid passivated back contact (HPBC) bifacial module at 615–645W. HPBC technology moves cell contacts to the rear surface, eliminating front-side metal shading, increasing active cell area and delivering higher module efficiency per unit area than conventional PERC or standard TOPCon at the same wattage class.
LONGi's HPBC cells carry a lower temperature coefficient than mono PERC — typically −0.29%/°C vs −0.35%/°C — making LR5-78HGD a stronger performer in hot climates (AU, MENA, SEA) where midday ambient temperatures regularly exceed 35°C.
