The V suffix indicates vertical cell string layout, which shifts the I-V curve compared to the standard BDV horizontal variant: lower Isc and higher Voc per watt, which can support longer strings at lower DC cable current on inverters designed for high-voltage, low-current MPPT input.
At 580–605W, JKM72HL4-V typically delivers 5–10W above the BDV variant at equivalent wattage tiers, offering a per-module yield advantage when the inverter MPPT design is compatible with the V layout's voltage characteristic.
