1500V DC solar architecture allows longer strings and fewer home runs, but all cable, connectors, fuses, breakers, SPDs and combiner boxes must be rated for the voltage.
1500V is common in larger commercial and utility systems. It can reduce BOS quantity, but it also makes rating coordination more important.
